Values are a guiding set of principles by which we determine what is right or wrong.
These can change over time and are different for each person. Remove the ‘s’ and you have the root meaning of the term value which refers to the importance, worth, or usefulness of something. This also changes over time and is different for each person.
It boils down to the importance you place on things and whether this importance is shared by others. By identifying what you value, you can establish the direction for your Creative Superpower.
Why is it important to understand our values?
Day by day, energy is hard to maintain and we can be lost to distraction without a set of values to guide us. In this age of distraction, a set of guiding values keep you focused and motivated and heading towards your ‘north star’.
