Taking the time to understand what topics people need your help or advice on is essential for tapping into your Creative Superpower.

When we identify where others seek our opinion, we discover where our leadership qualities lie.

It is sometimes difficult to identify these questions, but pay attention to the topics of conversation people bring up when they are around you. Offer help or advice and see if they take it.

It depends on your personality type as to whether people ask you directly, or whether you offer the information freely, however, there will be times where your opinion or advice is valued by others.

Leaders need to pay attention to these exchanges and bear in mind that it might show up in one of these ways:

Advice

When people are struggling with something, they often turn to others for advice. By canvassing the opinions of those we trust, we can build a picture with more certainty.

What topics do people ask you for your advice about?

Questions and Comments

People might ask you directly how to do something, ‘Can you show me how to …’, or they might just comment in passing ‘I don’t know how you get so much done’ or ‘You are so good at fixing things’ or ‘You have a real flair for decorating’.

What comments do people make about your skills and experience?
